Terms of Service
Last updated: September 21, 2026. The terms that apply when you use this site or buy from it.
These terms apply to your use of clemencekotoku.com, which is run by Clemence Kotoku (“I”, “me”, “my”), an independent web designer, developer and digital marketer based in Ghana. By using the site or buying from it, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Using the site
You may browse, read and share the content on this site for your own personal or business reference. Please don’t:
use the site for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful;
try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
send spam or automated submissions through the contact or newsletter forms;
copy, republish or sell content from the site as your own.
Enquiries and client projects
Sending an enquiry through the site doesn’t create an agreement to work together. When we do work together, the scope, timeline, price and payment terms are set out in a separate proposal or agreement, and those terms apply to the project alongside these ones. If the two ever conflict, the project agreement wins.
Digital products and services
Prices. Prices are shown at checkout, including the currency. I may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order you have already paid for.
Payment. Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers. Your order is confirmed once payment is received.
Delivery. Digital products are delivered by download link after payment. Services bought through the shop are delivered as described on their product page, and I will contact you to get started.
Licence. When you buy a digital product, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for yourself or your own business. You may not resell, share, redistribute or publish it, in whole or in part.
Refunds. Because digital products are delivered instantly, they are generally non-refundable once downloaded. If a file is faulty or not as described, contact me and I will fix it or refund you. For services, get in touch if something isn’t right and we will work it out fairly. None of this affects any rights you have under the law where you live.
Content and intellectual property
The design, writing, images, graphics and code on this site belong to me or are used with permission, unless stated otherwise. Client work shown in case studies remains the property of the clients it was made for, and product and company names belong to their owners.
Information and results
The articles, guides and other content on this site are shared for general information. They are not professional, legal or financial advice for your specific situation. Results from websites, marketing and advertising depend on many things outside my control, including the offer, the market, the budget and the audience, so results described on this site are examples, not guarantees.
Other websites
The site links to websites I don’t control, including client sites, my own products and social media. I am not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
Availability
I work to keep the site available and accurate, but I can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted, error free or up to date. I may change, pause or remove any part of it at any time.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or business opportunity, arising from your use of the site or its content. Where I am liable for something you bought from the site, my liability is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Privacy
How I handle personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. If a dispute comes up, please contact me first and we will try to resolve it together. If that doesn’t work, the courts of Ghana will have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory rights you have where you live.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
